Tuxedo, Formal Wear, and Accessories for Weddings

For the groom and his wedding party, Modern Tux offers the finest selection of the most current styles in formal wear.

We do lots of wedding party tuxedo rentals every year. We'll make the process quite simple for you.

First you need to decide what style coat, vest, shirt, shoes etc., you and your fiancé want. See our tuxedo101 page for some guidance as to how to think about this decision. We then will enter your choices into our computer system. There will be no problem if you should decide to change something in the future as we will just change what is in the computer system which will then automatically update everything.

Generally, if you are getting married around May or June you should come in to pick styles in late December or January. This is because May and June are also Prom months, and styles will get fully booked out -- throughout the entire industry, not just us!

We have lots of grooms that find it very convenient to come in the week after Christmas to pick styles for their upcoming weddings the next year. They may have groomsmen that are in town for Christmas that they can get in to be measured at that time. The key thing is to allow the groomsmen ample time to get measured whether they live around the area or are from out-of-town.

If you are getting married in July, August, or any month thereafter we still recommend you come in after Christmas or during January. That way, you have the best pick of styles and you give your groomsmen plenty of time to get their measurements to us. Again, it is possible to change styles if need be.

Truthfully, you could come in a couple of days before your wedding and we most likely would be able to suit up your entire wedding party. But that puts a big and unnecessary strain on everyone. If you are really a last minute person, we probably can even suit you up the morning of the wedding (it has happened once in our ten years of business) but that can get expensive.

We will keep track of who has gotten measurements and deposits in and who has not leaving you to worry about other more important things like where to play golf before the wedding rehearsal dinner. Your groomsmen can come in any time to be measured. If they are not living in the area, they can be measured at any reputable formalwear store and they can send or call in their measurements and tuxedo rental deposit. If any of your groomsmen are late with their measurements, we will let you know.

Two days before the wedding, we'll have the tuxedos at the store for try on. We highly recommend having your party come in as soon as they can to try everything on. That way, we know everything will be right and comfortable come the wedding day! We'll adjust anything that needs to be adjusted at that time.

Your wedding day -- have fun; it goes by fast..!

After the wedding, you can appoint a person to bring back all the tuxedos, or each groomsmen can bring back their own. Whatever the case, it is very helpful to everyone involved to have the tuxedos hanging back on their hangers and be identifiable -- we will thoroughly check them back in and can't tell you how many times we have found wallets, cash, sun glasses and other items in pockets. If we find something of value, we need to be able to tell who it belongs to!

That is about it. We do this for our living and have gotten the process down pat.
