There is a difference when the owner is in the store -- the owner's living is determined by how well the store is run!

Experience??? vs. Experience: Would you trust someone who may be measuring for a tuxedo for the first time? Tuxedo chain stores hire extra staff only during busy times and may have high employee turnover. Their inexperience could mean lots of inconvenience to you if you have to return to get a better fit.

Modern Tux has almost 15 years experience in formalwear and has rented well over 20,000 tuxedos. Modern Tux is one of, if not the most, experienced store in the area. There is almost never a time when there isn't someone at our store with at least four or five years of men's formalwear experience.

Non Professional vs. Actual Professional Tailors: If you need a pant or sleeve hemmed, you will likely have to come back to pick your tuxedo up again after the adjustments are made if you go to somewhere other than Modern Tux. Most other stores do not schedule more than two people, even on the busiest pickup nights which means having to wait to be fitted. They'll do everything overnight, but you will be inconvenienced.

At Modern Tux, when tuxedos are picked up, we have up to ten employees working AND up to four professional tailors on site. These are professional tailors that sew for a living. We want to take care of you and your party right then and there so you don't have to return if adjustments are needed.

No Back Stock vs. Warehouse Full of Tuxedos/Accessories: This is a BIG difference. What happens if you need something last minute? At Modern Tux, we probably have it in our upstairs warehouse! Any other place, if it is the day of your wedding, you'll just have to live with the problem.

Anywhere else, when your party comes in to try on everything before the wedding, if anything doesn't fit you or your groomsmen will have to make another trip back to the store the next day in order to get everything right.

At Modern Tux, when you and your groomsmen come in to try everything on, if anything isn't quite right, we probably can switch it out right then and there so no one has to come back.

Generic Copies vs. Name Brand Tuxedos: Tux chains carry mostly generic coats. You'll pay the same price as you pay for top quality designer label tuxedos but you might get an inferior fit and finish with the generic.

Modern Tux carries mostly designer labels which means quality fit and finish. We carry Ralph Lauren, Perry Ellis, Lord West, Oscar-de-la-Renta, Bill Blass and many more. These are made to higher standards, are constructed of 100% worsted wool, and have comfortable linings.

Average Service vs. Quality and Service: At most other tuxedo stores, tuxedos arrive from their warehouse the day before the event and they barely have time to unpack them before your arrival. Anything missing or incorrect will be corrected the morning of the event.

At Modern Tux, we have written our own computer program in order to accurately account for every item. We check everything for accuracy before you and your party arrive for pickup. We carry name brand designer tuxedos for the highest quality possible and we schedule the help that we need in order to provide the highest level of service possible.

Proper measurements are an absolute must. This is such an important step that the owner has written the software to check, at the time the measurements are entered into the computer, whether the measurements are reasonably accurate and sensible. Any measurements that are sent in from groomsmen that are from out-of-town that don't look correct will be followed up on.

Modern Tux's software keeps track of everything. Brides and grooms don't have to worry about wedding party members being late with deposits or measurements -- the software flags any late comers and the store will contact them for measurements.

Any changes made to coat styles, shoe styles, anything, is no problem as the software automatically flags changes before pick up.

Dedication to Service

Modern Tux will have enough personnel on pickup day to adjust/sew sleeve length, adjust pant length, adjust/sew just about anything while you wait (usually in less than 10 minutes) instead of making you come back the next day! Customers truly appreciate this quick service as most are very busy people and really don't want to return to the store the next day to try it all on again.
